United World Colleges is a global education movement that takes education beyond its conventional understanding and instead, makes it a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Holding that education can bring together young people from all backgrounds on the basis of their shared humanity, to engage with the possibility of social change through courageous action, personal example, and selfless leadership. Today, UWC has 17 schools and colleges on 4 continents including one in India. These colleges teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma as their formal curriculum for grade 11 and 12 while also emphasizing the importance of experiential learning, community service and outdoor activities.
UWC India selects Indian students between 16-18 years of age (currently in X or XI) to study at one of the 17 UWCs on five continents worldwide. Applications for September 2018 are now out!
This is a scholarship opportunity for your brightest and most promising students in class 10 for their 10+2 qualifications – International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at the The United World Colleges (UWC). UWC is a movement that delivers a challenging and transformational educational experience to a deliberately diverse group of young people, inspiring them to become agents of positive change.
The selection process is based on demonstrated promise and potential. In accordance with the UWC ethos that education should be independent of the student’s socioeconomic means, majority of students receive scholarship assistance and full and part scholarships are awarded based on need.
