Meet our new interns!

Every year, tGELF offers opportunities for young and talented leaders to intern with us. We recently welcomed five new members to our family. They come from different backgrounds and have demonstrated a commitment to our values. Our interns are an important part of our daily activities, we thank them for their hard work and their contributions towards tGELF.

Apurv Vivek

Place of origin: 

I am from Gaya, Bihar.

What and where are you studying?

Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, School of Rural Development, Tuljapur, Maharashtra.

What do you do in your free time?

During my free time, I love riding my motorcycle to the countryside and enjoy the nice and warm weather.

What are your areas of interest?

I  am very much interested in Politics; specifically about government policies on rural development and economic policies.

What are your looking forward while interning with tGELF?

During my internship with tGELF, I am looking forward to enhancing my research skills and I am also looking forward to being in a non – profit environment.

 

Lenya Schmidt Neuhaus 

Place of origin:

New York, United States of America. 

What and where are you studying?

Currently, I am in my third year of the four-year Swiss high school system in Geneva, attending the dual French and German language track, with a focus on sciences.

What do you do in your free time?

Sports are an important part of my life. I play a lot of tennis, mostly at a competitive level. I enjoy music too, this is why I play the piano. 

What are your areas of interest?

I am very interested in learning about different cultures and countries from across the world. I am also very interested in humanitarian efforts and see myself contributing in some way to global development. I want to try and create an impact on people’s lives and do something that is not only fulfilling for myself but that also concerns others.

What are your looking forward while interning with tGELF?

I am looking forward to learning how I can apply my areas of interest with the work tGELF does.

 

 

Ayush SJB Rana

Place of origin:

I am from Kathmandu, Nepal.

What and where are you studying?

I recently graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University where I studied a BA program in Economics & Political Science.

What do you do in your free time?

Watch football as I am a huge Real Madrid fan and play futsal (6-aside football) when I get time. Try to catch up with my friends as they’re really important to me and of course my family. I read and watch videos about global crises and historical documentaries, when in the mood for something light I watch TV shows and play PS4.

What are your areas of interest?

Most things mentioned above other than that I like to travel as much as possible and experience different facets of life, I feel its a very humbling experience. I also read auto/biographies mostly of sports personalities.

What are your looking forward while interning with tGELF?

I feel the organization does a lot in its level to make the world a better place and try to empower as many people as possible while having the LEAD values. I am on board with the Shuruaat Bus which is a great project and I am looking forward to seeing what people in my generation have to offer and learn as much from each city. I’d like to carry the LEAD values with me wherever I go, in the future, as I feel its really important in this competitive world.

 

Shraddha Shenoy

Mumbai, India

What and where are you studying?

I did my Bachelors in Management Studies with a specialisation in Marketing at NM College, Mumbai.

What do you do in your free time?

I secretly watch Hallmark movies (obviously)

What are your areas of interest?

I truly enjoy designing, writing and travelling.

What are your looking forward while interning with tGELF?

I am very excited to be here. I have been associated with tGELF as a Leader’s Forum member for a year now, and I truly identify with tGELF’s LEAD values. I am looking forward to learning more about creating impact at scale and leading with ethics and altruism embedded at the core of every action and every decision.

 

 

 

Yasmeen Sarwar

What are you studying?

I am currently in the last year of graduation in a Political Science Honors Program at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy watching Netflix shows/movies or listen to music

What are your areas of interest? 

I love Designing, photography and gardening. I also love to travel and bake!

What are your looking forward while interning with tGELF?

So far, I’ve had a great experience of working with such an interesting set of people. Working at tGELF should hopefully provide me with clarity about the future career path that I want to choose and work on.  Global Citizen is a unique platform and my involvement with it at such an early stage in life will definitely help me understand the maladies and solutions to those that prevail in India.
